Well.. Where to start?!
Australia was on fire, the coronavirus pandemic shut down the world, and racial tensions over police brutality in the US reached a breaking point. Sounds good, ay?
This year has been a rough challenge filled with loss, chaos, stress, and loads of uncertainty (and it is far from over..) but we made it and earned the right for a little break and relief so let‘s see the positive side of the year!
As a tiny company, we got really scared when the pandemic has started. We didn‘t know how it was going to affect our business, to be honest, we were afraid that we were going to lose everything that we have built up in the last few years. But thanks to our amazing customers, you let us keep going and supported us with your trust and orders. We can‘t say enough how grateful we are, you made Undersea grow even in the worst year in the decade.
Let‘s see what happened in 2020 with Undersea Wear!
MARCH 15 2020 – We have launched our SS/20 ‘Retro Wave‘ collection that was inspired by the 80‘s Miami Vice and Neon Colors. We really enjoyed to design and create this collection, especially the photo shooting in Miami, Florida!
MAY 22 2020 – It was a very important day of 2020 as we‘ve launched the very first Undersea Menswear Collection with 3 different boardshort designs made from recycled plastic bottles. It is still in its infancy but we are working on it :)
6 JUNE 2020 – Yes, we made it! The first Pop Up Store in Budapest! Due to Covid we were not sure if we could host this event but luckily, we had the chance to organize it and it turned out amazing! It was a pleasure to meet many of you in person and give you the opportunity to try the bikinis on and find your dream swimwear for the summer!
15 JUNE 2020 – Love your body, You are beautiful! The long-awaited Body Positivity Campaign has been launched on this beautiful day and it was very welcomed and successful. We got a lot of positive feedback and many of you asked us to do this campaign again next year. What do you think? :)
17 JULY 2020 – As our first Pop Up store was very successful, we decided to do it again which was a great idea in the end as many of you visited us and we had so much fun together! :)
25 – 28 JULY 2020 – The third and fourth Pop Up store was located at Lake Balaton and Budapest. Due to Covid, these were the last Undersea events in this year :(
16 AUG 2020 – We will never forget this date, I guess.. The most successful campaign ever was lunched hand in hand with Marie Fe. This was our very first collection designed with a famous influencer together and we were so excited to show you finally what we have been working on for a whole year! The collection got sold out in less than 15 minutes!! It was definitely a record sale!
15 NOV 2020 – We just dropped the last capsule collection of the year, designed and made for the holiday season. The Glow Girl collection was made from a new, shiny fabric that was not existing before in a recycled way, so it was definitely something new to try and offer for our lovely customers!
